Montpelier Chamber Orchestra

Our Mission:

Community, Commitment, Joyfulness.

The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra is committed to elevating contemporary and classical music through intimate performances, outreach in schools and senior centers, and connecting the community around music.  Our members are dedicated volunteers who come together several times a year to provide engaging performances of new and traditional chamber orchestra repertory. We collaborate with other regional artists, such as in our performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors, joining forces with choral musicians, local puppeteers and our orchestra for two nights of holiday enchantment, a gift to our community.   We also commission new music. This Spring, MCO is commissioning three new works of music, film scores, to be premiered as part of the Green Mountain Film Festival, in Montpelier and Essex Junction, Vermont. Join us for a concert soon!

Decker is emblematic of today’’s young classical musician, not out to defy tradition but to “grow” it.
